SBI OFFICERS ASSOCIATION ORGANIZED 25^TH BLOOD DONATION CAMP

PATNA------------------------The State Bank of India Officers' Association (Patna Circle) organized a blood donation camp for the 25th consecutive time. The event was held simultaneously at the canteens of the Local Head Office (Patna) and Zonal Offices in Patna, Gaya-ji, Ranchi, Bhagalpur, and Purnia.

At the Local Head Office, the camp was inaugurated through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by a group comprising Shri Anurag Joshi (Chief General Manager), Shri Ajit Kumar Mishra (Former General Secretary), Shri Yogendra Shelke (General Manager – South Bihar), Shri Vijay Kumar Shamal (General Manager – North Bihar), Shri Amresh Vikramaditya (General Secretary), Shri Ranjan Kumar Singh (President), and Shri Lakshmi Narayan Paswan (General Secretary – Seva).

General Secretary Shri Amresh Vikramaditya noted that on this very day in the year 2000, the then General Secretary Shri H.S. Rathore and the then President Dr. K.C. Mishra had lost their lives in a plane crash in Patna. Since then, the Officers' Association has been organizing blood donation camps annually in their loving memory. In Patna, the event was conducted in collaboration with Maa Blood Center and Prathama Blood Center.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief General Manager Shri Anurag Joshi remarked that there is no greater act of charity than blood donation, as a single unit of blood can save three lives. He praised the Officers' Association's sustained efforts, stating that no amount of appreciation is enough. It is worth noting that a blood donation camp had also been organized by the State Bank of India on June 16th. Today, a total of 211 units of blood were donated to various blood centers by the State Bank Officers' Association.
