PATNA------------------------The elections for the vacant Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar have pushed the state's political temperature to a fever pitch. Just one day before the voting, intense activity is being witnessed in the capital, Patna, within both the ruling and opposition camps. Both alliances are holding a series of intensive meetings to keep their respective legislators united and to tilt the electoral arithmetic in their favor.

Activity within the NDA camp surged significantly starting Sunday morning. First, a crucial meeting of top NDA leaders was held at the residence of JD(U) National Executive President Sanjay Jha. This meeting primarily involved an in-depth deliberation on the equations of the Rajya Sabha election and the management of legislators' votes. Immediately thereafter, another major meeting of JD(U) legislators was organized at the official residence of Minister Leshi Singh. During this meeting—held in the presence of several senior government ministers and legislators—electoral strategy was discussed in detail.

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also solidified its preparations. A separate meeting of veteran BJP leaders and legislators concluded at the State Guest House. This meeting emphasized the precautions to be observed during the voting scheduled for tomorrow, as well as the importance of party unity. According to reports, the NDA's final and decisive strategy will be finalized this evening at the residence of Minister Vijay Chaudhary. Leaders from all constituent parties will participate in this meeting, where a final 'blueprint' regarding the voting process will be drafted.

The opposition, too, is gearing up to enter this electoral contest with full strength. The 'Mahagathbandhan' (Grand Alliance) has convened a key meeting at Hotel Panache in Patna to share its strategy. The most noteworthy aspect of this meeting is the reported arrival of an AIMIM legislator to attend it—a development that has set the rumor mills churning in political circles. Held in the presence of RJD Principal General Secretary Ranvijay Sahu, the primary objective of this meeting is to consolidate the opposition's votes and pose a formidable challenge to the ruling dispensation. Given the kind of strategic maneuvering visible in Patna ahead of tomorrow's voting, it is evident that this battle for the Rajya Sabha is not merely a game of numbers, but has instead become a matter of prestige for both alliances. Now, all eyes are fixed on tomorrow's polling and the results that will follow.
