PATNA---------------------------Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, Vijay Kumar Sinha, stated in unequivocal terms during the 'Land Reforms and Public Welfare Dialogue' that the campaign for land reforms in Bihar will not be halted.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, Vijay Kumar Sinha, stated in unequivocal terms during the 'Land Reforms and Public Welfare Dialogue' that the campaign for land reforms in Bihar will not be halted. He asserted that the government would take strict action against those involved in land disputes, illegal encroachments, and those attempting to create chaos within the revenue administration system. Vijay Kumar Sinha categorically declared that the land reform campaign in Bihar would not be stalled under any circumstances. He affirmed that the government would proceed with the utmost seriousness against individuals instigating land disputes, engaging in illegal encroachments, or disrupting the revenue administration. Speaking at the 'Land Reforms and Public Welfare Dialogue' organized at the Munger Auditorium, Vijay Kumar Sinha clearly emphasized that no one stands above the law.

The Deputy Chief Minister pointed out that a land dispute is not merely a matter between two individuals; rather, it generates tension between two families, two villages, and across multiple generations. Consequently, the government has resolved to ensure that land disputes are resolved not merely on paper, but effectively on the ground. He noted that the 'Land Reforms and Public Welfare Dialogue' represents a significant stride in this direction, enabling the public to directly convey their grievances to the government. To date, over 15,000 complaints have been registered through the digital system, and these are being monitored on a regular basis.

Sinha issued a stern warning that land mafias who encroach upon government land or the land belonging to the poor will not be spared. Circle Officers have been issued directives to immediately register cases in such instances and ensure that appropriate action is taken. He further clarified that no individual—regardless of how influential they may be—is above the law. Additionally, he cautioned administrative officials that corruption, negligence, or undue delays would not be tolerated. Officials who perform their duties with honesty will be honored; however, there is absolutely no place for corruption within the government.

The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that anarchic activities—such as strikes and lockouts—disrupt public services, and Bihar has now moved past that era. The government aims to ensure peace, social harmony, and the pace of development in the villages. He appealed to the public to cooperate in the land reform campaign and to build a prosperous, peaceful, and self-respecting Bihar for future generations. Several senior officials and members of the general public were present on this occasion, lending their support to this public-interest initiative.
