POLICE WARN AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKIKNG

BHABHUA-----------------------The police organized an awareness program to prevent human trafficking and child labor under the 'Naya Savera 3.0' campaign. Held at the Tariyani police station premises, the event was organized jointly by the Sheohar Police and the 'Savera' voluntary organization, under the instructions of Superintendent of Police Shailendra Kumar.

Station House Officer (SHO) Abhishek Kumar presided over the program. Representatives from local hotels, shops, brick kiln operators, and other establishments participated. Discussions were also held regarding the prevention of child marriage under the 'Aditi Kavach Project'. Mohan Kumar, Secretary and Chief Spokesperson of the Savera voluntary organization, described human trafficking as a serious crime against society. He emphasized that public participation and vigilance are crucial to tackling this issue. He appealed to the public to report any suspicious activity—such as the luring or abduction of children or women... ...immediately inform the police if any suspicious activity is observed.

Station House Officer (SHO) Abhishek Kumar clarified that employing children under the age of 18 in any hotel, shop, garage, brick kiln, or household is a legal offense. He warned that if child labor is detected during inspections, an FIR will be registered against the concerned operator, and strict legal action will be taken.

This campaign will run from July 18 to July 25. During this period, widespread public awareness regarding human trafficking and child labor is being generated in the district's sensitive areas through awareness programs, dialogues, and the distribution of leaflets.
