SASARAM------------------------A tragic accident near Sasaram’s Civil Court under Sasaram Town police station claimed the life of a four-year-old girl, crushed by a bus in a crowded area, raising serious questions about the city’s traffic management.
Nikhat Parveen, daughter of Anwar Hajam from Muradabad, was killed instantly when a speeding bus struck her near the Kargahar turn. The child had accompanied her mother to a Sasaram hospital for treatment and was standing by the roadside to catch an auto-rickshaw when the uncontrolled bus plowed into her in the bustling area. Chaos erupted as onlookers scrambled, and grief-stricken cries filled the air. Civil SDO Ashutosh Ranjan and SDPO-1 Dilip Kumar rushed to the scene to restore order. The Block Development Officer provided Rs 20,000 as immediate compensation to the girl’s father, calming tensions partially. The child’s body was sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The incident, caused by reckless bus driving in a crowded zone, has sparked outrage over lax traffic enforcement in the city.
