NEWLYWED WOMAN KILLED FOR DOWRY

ARA----------------------------A newlywed woman was hanged to death at Barauli village under Ara Muffassil police station merely for dowry. The deceased was identified as Ruby Kumari 20 wife of Abhishek Kumar of Barauli village. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Ara Muffassil police station in this regard against the in-laws on the statement of the father of the deceased Shiv Kumar Chaudhary of Devaich Kundi village under Shahpur police station. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police are also investigating the matter.

Shiv Kumar Chaudhary said that he had married his daughter Ruby Kumari to Abhishek Kuamar son of Shyam babu Mahato of Barauli village under Ara Muffassil police station on May 5, 2025 and had given cash and an Apache motorcycle as a gift to the in-laws during the Tilak ceremony but the in-laws demanded Rs. 5 lakh some days after the marriage. He expressed his inability to filfill the demands. After that her daughter was frequently beaten up. Ruby Kumari told him on May 25, 2025 that she came to her maternal home at Devaich Kundi but her husband on May 29, 2025 took her back with him. On June 4, 2025, a village informed that her daugher’s health is very serious. He called her husband and in-laws but they did not response. After half an hour, his son-in-law asked him to come immediately as his daughter is serious. He at once went there and found Ruby Kumari dead and the in-laws were absconding. On information, the police came and recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmoirtem.
