IPS VIKAS VAIBHAV APPOINTED AS THE NEW IG OF MAGADH RANGE

PATNA-------------------------The Bihar government has appointed Vikas Vaibhav—a dynamic and honest IPS officer of the state—as the new Inspector General (IG) of the Magadh Range. This is being hailed as a significant administrative decision by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary aimed at further strengthening law and order within the state. After a hiatus of nearly six years, there is an atmosphere of excitement within both the police department and the general public regarding Vikas Vaibhav's return to field policing.

Following his assumption of this new responsibility, a steady stream of well-wishers arrived to offer their congratulations. Dr. Arvind Pandey, a renowned dentist in Bihar, visited his residence to extend his best wishes. During the visit, Dr. Pandey honored him by presenting a traditional *Angavastra* (honorary stole) and a floral bouquet, stating that the appointment of a conscientious officer like Vikas Vaibhav would lend renewed strength to the law and order situation in the Magadh region.

IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav has earned a reputation for numerous significant achievements throughout his previous tenures. While serving as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Patna, he spearheaded several effective campaigns against organized crime and the land mafia. During his stints as Superintendent of Police (SP) in various districts—including Bhagalpur and Rohtas—he actively promoted crime control, police-community dialogue, and technology-driven policing. Furthermore, during his time with the Economic Offences Unit and the Special Branch, he carved a distinct niche for himself by successfully investigating several sensitive cases.

Vikas Vaibhav has also remained consistently active in addressing social causes. Through his initiative, "Let's Inspire Bihar," thousands of young people are being motivated to pursue education, prepare for competitive examinations, and engage in social service. Owing to his unblemished reputation for integrity, his firm administrative style, and his deep commitment to public welfare, he is counted among the most popular IPS officers in Bihar.

The general public, intellectuals, and social organizations have expressed their delight over his appointment as the IG of the Magadh Range, voicing their hope that, under his leadership, crime control and police administration in the region will take a new and positive direction.
