In this context, Assistant Commissioner (Prohibition) Rajnish received a tip-off that a large quantity of foreign liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh towards Patna (Bihar).

A team led by Inspector Prakash Chandra was constituted by the Assistant Commissioner (Prohibition). The Scorpio bore a registration number from another state. The team arrested the driver, Shivam Ojha—son of Tarkeshwar Ojha and a resident of Dhavri village under the Bihiya Police Station area—at the scene. He has been produced before the court for further legal action. A total of 388.800 liters of foreign liquor was seized from the vehicle.
