FIVE MISCREANTS ARRESTED WHILE HOSTING A LIQUOR AND DACNE PARTY

ARA--------------------------The trend of consuming alcohol and dancing with firearms at weddings and other parties shows no signs of abating in Bhojpur. Such incidents occur frequently across the district. The latest case comes from the Barhabatra neighborhood under the Town Police Station area, where five miscreants were arrested late Wednesday night while hosting a liquor and dance party behind closed doors.

Authorities recovered one country-made pistol, one spent shell, five live cartridges, and 750 ml of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from the scene. The arrested individuals include Manjit Kumar (son of Rambabu Rajak), Akash Kumar (son of Chandeshwar Prasad), Nasruddin Khan (son of Salauddin Khan), Taha Aziz (son of Zakir Hussain), and Nadirul Haq (son of Zafirul Haq)—all residents of Barhabatra (Ward No. 3). Superintendent of Police Raj released a statement confirming these details.

He stated that the Town Police received a tip-off late Wednesday night regarding a group of people hosting a liquor and dance party with hired dancers at a house in the Barhabatra neighborhood. After verifying the information, a team led by Town Station House Officer (SHO) Devraj Rai conducted a raid. During the operation, the aforementioned weapons and alcohol were seized. Subsequently, based on the police's statement, an FIR was registered against the five accused at the Town Police Station under the Arms Act and the Bihar Prohibition Act.
