ARA----------------------------CPI(ML) organized a street-corner meeting in Ara today to address concerns regarding mob violence, fake encounters, 'bulldozer raj,' police repression, and the protection of democracy.
Addressing the gathering, CPI(ML) State Standing Committee member and former Ara Assembly candidate Qyamuddin Ansari condemned the killing of two youths—Shravan Paswan and Pintu Paswan—in Rajgir, Nalanda. A mob had been incited by temple priests who claimed the temple had been "desecrated" by the presence of these men; Ansari emphasized the need to raise a strong voice demanding justice for them.
CPI(ML) leader Qyamuddin Ansari stated that the BJP government has become synonymous with 'bulldozer raj,' noting that the government's actions involve running bulldozers over the homes of the poor and demolishing their shanties.
CPI(ML) State Committee member and Ara City Secretary Sudhir Singh pointed out that there have been 28 consecutive encounters under the BJP government. He questioned whether Bihar would be governed by the rule of the Constitution or by a regime of police encounters, asserting the need to raise a voice against this 'encounter raj.'
CPI(ML) leaders announced that a protest march concerning mob lynching, 'encounter raj,' 'bulldozer raj,' police repression, and the defense of the Constitution and democracy would commence from the CPI(ML) district office tomorrow at 2 PM, and urged the public to participate.
The street-corner meeting was held today to publicize this protest march. Meetings took place at various locations, including the Town Police Station, Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar Chowk, the Ara railway station premises, the bus stand, and Dharhara. Key figures participating in this street-corner meeting included State Standing Committee member and 'Insaf Manch' State Secretary Qyamuddin Ansari; State Standing Committee member and AIPWA leader Sangeet Singh; CPI(ML) State Committee member and Ara City Secretary Sudhir Kumar Singh; AISA leader Roshan Kushwaha; CPI(ML) District Office Secretary Dilraj Pritam; and comrades Raju Prasad and Randhir Rana.
