BUXAR POLICE APPEAL FOR COOPERATION TO CRACK DOWN ON DRUG TRAFFFICKING

BUXAR--------------------------With the objective of effectively curbing drug trafficking and illegal narcotics trade within the district, the Buxar Police have appealed to the general public for their cooperation. A press release issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Police states that, in accordance with directives from the Bihar Police Headquarters, a special campaign against narcotics is currently underway in the district. To ensure the effectiveness of this campaign, a specialized unit—designated as the ANTF (Anti-Narcotics Task Force)—has been constituted under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Police.

According to the issued press release, this specialized team will conduct raid operations while maintaining continuous surveillance across the entire Buxar district.

The primary objective of this team is to take strict punitive action against individuals involved in the trafficking, as well as the illicit purchase and sale, of narcotics such as Charas, Ganja, Opium, and Heroin. The police emphasize that the narcotics trade poses a grave threat to society and jeopardizes the future of the youth; therefore, it is imperative to eradicate this menace from its very roots. The Buxar Police have appealed to the citizens of the district to immediately inform the police if they observe—either in their immediate vicinity or anywhere within their knowledge—any activities related to the illegal purchase, sale, or trafficking of narcotics such as Charas, Ganja, Opium, or Heroin.

The police have provided an assurance that the identity of any individual providing such information will be kept strictly confidential, and that the specialized team will take prompt action based on the information received. The press release also states that the cooperation of citizens is crucial for maintaining robust law and order within the district and for building a drug-free society. The police administration has appealed to the public to actively participate in this campaign and to assist the authorities by providing information regarding the illicit trade of narcotics.
