ARA-----------------------------Politics has intensified over a crucial decision taken by the Bihar state government regarding the security of jewelry shops. Now, in any district of the state, it will not be possible to purchase jewelry while wearing a hijab, veil, burqa, or helmet. While this decision has sparked discussion and debate in some sections, BJP leader Raghuvar Prasad Chandravanshi from Ara has openly supported the government's move.
Speaking to the media in Ara, BJP leader Raghuvar Prasad Chandravanshi said that this decision is entirely in the public interest and related to security. He said, "This is a good and commendable initiative by the government. Criminals often commit major crimes by covering their faces with burqas, veils, or other means. This rule will help in curbing crime."
He further added that several incidents have occurred in Bihar in the past where criminals, after entering jewelry shops with their faces covered, committed serious crimes like robbery and dacoity. Despite the presence of CCTV cameras, the criminals' faces are not clearly visible, which makes it very difficult for the police and administration to identify them.
Raghuvar Prasad Chandravanshi said that this new rule will not only increase the security of shopkeepers but will also create a safer environment for customers. He clarified that this decision is not against any religion or community, but has been taken solely with the objective of strengthening the security system.
The BJP leader also said that in today's times, criminals try to circumvent the law in new ways. Entering a shop with a hidden face is one such method. In such a situation, this step by the government will prove effective in curbing the activities of criminals and will provide relief to those involved in the jewelry business.
Following this decision, jewelry shop owners have also breathed a sigh of relief. Shopkeepers say that they are often apprehensive about security, and with the implementation of such rules, they expect a reduction in incidents of looting, theft, and robbery. However, this decision is eliciting mixed reactions in the state. Some are calling it necessary for security reasons, while others are viewing it as an infringement on personal liberty. Despite this, the government and leaders of the ruling party maintain that there can be no compromise on security.
Currently, all eyes are on these new guidelines issued for jewelry shops in Bihar, and it remains to be seen how they will be implemented and what their impact will be on the ground in the coming days.
