AWARENESS PROGRAMME AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING

ARA--------------------------Taking a significant step towards ensuring a secure future for the new generation, a comprehensive awareness program against human trafficking was organized on Tuesday at Guru Nanak Abhyasarth Middle School in the Maulabag area of ​​the city. This program was specifically ...organized under the "Vidhi Palak Yuvak" (Law-Abiding Youth) initiative, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Women's Police Station.

The primary objective of this event was to alert students to serious social evils like human trafficking and to raise awareness about their rights. During the program, the SHO explained in detail the various forms human trafficking can take and how criminals ensnare innocent people in their traps. Emphasis was placed on the importance of identifying suspicious activities and immediately informing the police administration about any unusual situation.

Through the awareness session, students were taught that vigilance is the best form of protection. They were informed about laws related to the safety of women and children, as well as their rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Additionally, they were instructed on how to use various helpline numbers to obtain immediate assistance during emergencies. Students participated enthusiastically in the event held on the school premises and had their queries addressed.
