ARA------------------------CPI(ML) MP Sudama Prasad held a public interaction program at his parliamentary office in Ara on Saturday, listening to hundreds of citizens and coordinating with officials for immediate resolutions.
Crowds from various villages and neighborhoods raised issues like land disputes, education, employment, lane-drain construction, roads, and housing. Prasad contacted relevant department officials, issuing directives for swift action in most cases.
Addressing the gathering, he said, “Our priority is to raise people’s concerns in Parliament and on the streets. Crores have been sanctioned for development, but over 200 crores are still needed for implementation.” Targeting the state government, he added, “Where’s the budget going? If schemes were implemented honestly, every village would have lanes, drains, roads, and water by now.”
Prasad emphasized that public pressure is the only way to address core issues. He revealed that he’s recommended aid for 112 patients with serious ailments like cancer and kidney failure, with 16 receiving 23 lakh rupees so far. Ten applications are pending due to incomplete documents, while others are in process. He’s also facilitated treatment for 115 people at top hospitals, bringing relief to poor families.
“We’re not just fighting for scheme announcements but their transparent execution,” Prasad said. Local party workers, panchayat representatives, youth, and women attended, submitting applications and suggestions, with several issues taken up for immediate action.
