ANTI-ENCROACHMENT DRIVE CONDUCTED

ARA-----------------------------With the objective of ensuring convenience for citizens and streamlining the traffic management system, the district administration launched an anti-encroachment drive on Saturday. Acting in strict compliance with the directives of District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, a comprehensive anti-encroachment campaign was conducted across the city, extending from Dharhara to Paswan Chowk. The primary objective of this administrative action was to clear illegal encroachments—which had persisted on roads and public land for years—and to facilitate smoother traffic flow within the city.

The campaign was led by the Circle Officer of Arrah Sadar. To ensure effective coordination during the operation, a team from the Municipal Corporation, specially deputed magistrates, and officials from the police administration remained present throughout the duration of the drive. The administrative team identified illegal structures and temporary encroachments situated on both sides of the road and proceeded to remove them. This administrative action was not limited merely to small, temporary encroachments; rather, permanent structures built along the roadside were also identified and subsequently demolished. Furthermore, measures were taken to ensure that no re-encroachment occurs in the future and that the width of the road remains in compliance with established standards.

To ensure the smooth execution of the proposed road project extending from Paswan Chowk to Dharhara, it is imperative that the route remains free of obstructions. The progress of this project had been facing persistent impediments due to illegal encroachments on public land. The administration has issued a stern warning to all individuals: should they attempt to encroach upon roads or public spaces again, strict legal action will be initiated against them. Such punitive measures may include the imposition of fines as well as the registration of First Information Reports (FIRs). This anti-encroachment drive is set to continue on an ongoing basis.
