ARA---------------------------Bhojpur Police have taken significant action as part of an ongoing campaign against crime and criminals. The police arrested two notorious accused individuals who had been absconding for a long time in connection with a serious criminal case. Both were arrested within the jurisdiction of the Sinha Police Station.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Tarkeshwar Yadav and Kameshwar Yadav, residents of Basantpur village under the Dhobahan Police Station area. A reward of ₹25,000 each had been announced for their arrest by Police Headquarters.

Bhojpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Awadhesh Dixit released a press note detailing the arrests. He stated that in 2014, the wife of Vakil Paswan—a resident of Basantpur village—was assaulted, resulting in her death.

Following this incident, an FIR was registered against both accused on May 16, 2014, at the Dhobahan Outpost (under the Ara Muffassil Police Station area) on charges of murder and violations of the SC/ST Act.

According to the police, both accused had been absconding since the FIR was registered. After they remained at large for an extended period, Police Headquarters announced a reward of ₹25,000 each for their arrest in 2022.
