ARA---------------------------A case has come to light regarding the enrollment of students at Higher Secondary School, Jungle Dawa, despite the lack of adequate subject-specific teachers. Students have alleged that proper arrangements for instruction are not in place following enrollment, and the entire process has been reduced to merely filling out forms rather than actual teaching.
According to the students, enrollments have been made for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, History, Geography, Hindi, and English in classes 11 and 12; however, their studies are suffering due to the unavailability of sufficient teachers for these subjects. The students raising these concerns include Sonu Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Bittu Kumar, Akhilesh Kumar, and Karmendra Kumar, among others.
The students apprised former Jagdishpur MLA Bhai Dinesh of their grievances. Subsequently, Bhai Dinesh spoke to the school's headmaster to understand the situation. The headmaster informed him that the department had already been notified about the teacher shortage, and a formal request regarding the availability of teachers had been sent to the concerned authorities.
Bhai Dinesh questioned the basis on which higher secondary level education and enrollments are being conducted when the school lacks adequate teachers. He asserted that the responsibility of providing education is not fulfilled merely by enrolling students and having them fill out forms. Terming this an injustice to students and parents, he noted that it is directly impacting the children's future.
He remarked that children from poor and ordinary families in rural areas enroll in government schools with the hope of receiving a quality education. If they do not have access to subject-specific teachers, both their regular studies and their preparation for competitive examinations will be adversely affected.
Bhai Dinesh demanded that the Chief Minister and the Education Minister immediately arrange for adequate subject-specific teachers at Higher Secondary School, Jungle Dawa. He further urged that the appointment or posting of teachers be expedited in all 10+2, secondary, and primary schools across Bihar where there is a shortage of teaching staff. He stated that the government should not limit itself merely to constructing school buildings but should also ensure the availability of adequate teachers, quality education, and essential academic resources in schools. There should be no compromise regarding the students' future at any level.
