Amidst this, a tragic incident occurred in the Khwaspur police station area where a 66-year-old woman lost her life by drowning. It is reported that Radhika Devi had stepped out of her home this morning. While doing so, she slipped near a pond filled with floodwater and drowned in the deep water. Panic ensued at the scene following the accident. According to locals, the floods in the Ganga Diyara region have caused nearby ponds to overflow. This has created various difficulties for villagers, including problems with commuting. Following the incident, locals have urged the administration to enhance safety measures in flood-affected areas and exercise special caution in waterlogged locations. This accident, occurring amidst the floods, has once again raised questions regarding safety arrangements in waterlogged areas.
