In a joint operation, the police arrested four individuals and seized 50 grams of a narcotic substance resembling heroin or 'smack'. A Swift Dzire car and five mobile phones were also recovered during the operation.

ARA----------------------------A joint team comprising the Bhojpur Police and the Special Task Force (STF) has achieved significant success in the fight against narcotics smuggling in Bhojpur. In a joint operation, the police arrested four individuals and seized 50 grams of a narcotic substance resembling heroin or 'smack'. A Swift Dzire car and five mobile phones were also recovered during the operation.
According to the police, the operation was conducted under the direction of Bhojpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Awadhesh Dixit.
Based on the interrogation of the arrested individuals, the police are now actively searching for others linked to this narcotics network and investigating their respective roles. The four accused arrested by the police have been identified as follows:
Rahul Yadav, son of Kamlesh Yadav (Shahpur Police Station);
Rinku Pandey, son of Jitendra Pandey (Shahpur Police Station);
Ravi Shankar, son of Shivshankar Yadav (Shahpur Police Station); and
Vikas Kumar Verma, son of the late Mohan Sonar (Karnamepur Police Station, Bhojpur District).
In a joint operation, the police recovered 50 grams of a narcotic substance resembling heroin/smack, five mobile phones, and a Swift Dzire car. The police are currently gathering information regarding the accused's contacts and the narcotics supply chain through the seized mobile phones and vehicle. The police state that the entire network involved in narcotics trafficking is under investigation. Further action in this case is likely in the coming days based on the interrogation of the arrested individuals.
This operation against drugs by the police and the STF in Bhojpur is being viewed as a major blow to the network involved in the narcotics trade. While the seizure of narcotics immediately after the new Superintendent of Police (SP) took charge is considered a significant achievement, it also indicates that the drug trade is continuing unabated in the district.
