ARA------------------------In the Narayanpur police station area of ​​Bhojpur district, the police executed an attachment and seizure (kurki-jabti) ​​operation on Friday against an accused who has been absconding in a case involving a shooting incident targeting a Deputy Mukhiya (deputy village head) and ward member. Acting on a court order, the police arrived at the residence of Pappu Kumar—son of Ved Prakash Singh and a resident of Bhaluni village—to carry out the action.

During the operation, the police seized various household items from the accused’s home, including tables, chairs, a cooler, and a sewing machine, loading them onto a pickup truck to be transported to the police station. Furthermore, using a drill machine, the police dismantled and removed the windows and doors installed in the house. A large police contingent, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Narayanpur, was deployed during the operation.

It is worth noting that on September 15, 2024, near Phuladi Mor in the Sandesh police station area, armed criminals opened fire on Deepak Kumar Kesri—the Deputy Mukhiya of Khandol Panchayat and a ward member (Ward No. 14) from Sandesh village—as he was returning from the market. He sustained serious injuries in the attack.

Following the incident, the injured Deepak Kumar Kesri filed an FIR against unknown assailants at the Sandesh police station. During the subsequent police investigation, the name of Pappu Kumar emerged. He has been absconding ever since. This attachment and seizure action was carried out amidst ongoing efforts to apprehend him, as directed by the court.
