BHABHUA------------------------A case has emerged from the Kudra block of the district where a family has demanded a safe access route to their current place of residence. The matter concerns Nasej village in the Kudra administrative circle; Shyam Narayan Musahar, a resident of the village, has submitted an application to the Kudra Circle Officer (CO) to apprise them of the issue.
Shyam Narayan Musahar—son of the late Mallu Musahar and a resident of Nasej village (Devrarh Kalan Khurd Panchayat, Kudra Circle, Kaimur district)—stated in his application that the ancestral land held by his family is insufficient to meet their housing needs. According to the application, the family does not even possess a single decimal of land.
Shyam Narayan Musahar mentioned that he has three sons, two of whom are married. As the family grows, the housing crisis is becoming increasingly severe. Consequently, he has requested the Circle Officer to provide government land for their residence.
The affected family faces another major issue regarding the path leading to their home. The application alleges that the access route used to reach their current residence is being blocked by a neighbor, Gorakh Musahar (son of the late Bhuvar Musahar).
The family states that the obstruction of the path is causing difficulties in daily movement. Their primary concern relates to potential emergencies; they fear that if a family member falls suddenly ill, or if an accident or other emergency occurs, the lack of a safe and accessible route could lead to serious complications.
In the application, the family has also expressed apprehension regarding potential loss of life or property due to the blocked path and has urged the local administration to intervene in the matter.
Shyam Narayan Musahar also noted in the application that the land in question—used for access—belongs to the Government of Bihar. They state that their family uses this specific path to access their current place of residence, but a dispute regarding the path has made commuting difficult.
The affected family has requested the Circle Officer to investigate the entire matter, verify the status of the government land and the path, and take appropriate action.
To address their grievance, Shyam Narayan Musahar visited the Kudra Circle Office and submitted a formal application to the Circle Officer. Through this application, he has placed two key demands before the administration: first, the provision of residential land for the family, and second, the provision of a safe and accessible path to their current place of residence.
After submitting the application, the family received an assurance from the Circle Officer that the matter would be investigated. The family now hopes that the administration's inquiry will reveal the true situation and lead to a resolution of their problem.
The administrative inquiry is now considered crucial to this entire matter. The investigation will examine which land the access path traverses, the actual condition of the path, and the nature of the dispute surrounding it. Additionally, action will be taken in accordance with regulations regarding the family's request for residential land.
Locals are also keenly watching the progress of the Circle administration's inquiry. The affected family maintains that their aim is not to escalate any dispute, but rather to ensure safe passage and proper housing arrangements for themselves.
Shyam Narayan Musahar has urged the Circle Officer to accept the application, conduct a thorough investigation, and initiate steps to provide residential land in accordance with the rules, considering the family's actual circumstances. He has also requested that the path to their current residence be made safe and accessible.
It remains to be seen what facts emerge from the Circle administration's inquiry and how the family's two issues—the need for residential land and a safe access path—are resolved following the investigation.
