PATNA-------------------------A case of alleged fraud worth crores of rupees, involving promises of land to ex-servicemen, has come to light in Bihta, Patna. The police have registered an FIR and launched an investigation based on a complaint filed by an ex-serviceman regarding this incident, which occurred within the jurisdiction of the IIT Amhara police station. The complainant has alleged that money was collected from approximately 69 ex-servicemen under the pretext of providing land, followed by the alleged fraudulent registration of the land. The police are now examining land-related documents, registration records, and financial transactions.
In a formal complaint lodged at the Amhara police station, ex-serviceman Raghavendra Kumar stated that assurances were given to about 69 ex-servicemen regarding the provision of land through the 'Sainik Welfare Organization India Limited'. The complaint identifies the organization's Chairman, Lt. Col. Rakesh Rana, and Captain Arjun Kumar Singh as partners.
According to the complainant, the ex-servicemen were shown the land before funds were collected from them. It is alleged that fraud was subsequently committed during the land registration process. The complaint claims that the land deal and associated transactions involved crores of rupees.
The complaint alleges that money was taken from ex-servicemen with the promise of providing land, followed by alleged irregularities in the registration process. The complainant has demanded a thorough investigation into the entire matter and action against those found guilty.
Police are currently investigating the true ownership of the land involved in the deal, the manner in which the registration was executed, and the parties involved in the financial transactions. The full picture is expected to emerge only after the documents have been scrutinized.
A case has been registered at the Amhara police station based on the complaint. Late Tuesday night, Danapur SDPO-2 Amarendra Kumar Jha stated that the investigation is ongoing. He added that legal action, including arrests, would be taken against anyone found to be involved during the probe.
Police officials have instructed the relevant team to take necessary action. The investigation covers land deeds, registration documents, the alleged financial transactions, and other accusations made in the complaint.
According to officials, the allegations raised in the matter are currently being investigated. Only after the investigation is complete will it become clear what amount of money is involved in the alleged fraud and who played a role in it.
