ARA-------------------------An abandoned Scorpio SUV was found parked by the roadside in Ganj village, located within the Osai Panchayat area under the Bihiya police station limits in Bhojpur district. Acting on information provided by villagers, the police arrived at the scene and searched the vehicle, discovering a bottle of 'Blenders Pride' Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL). The police have seized the Scorpio and the liquor bottle and have initiated an investigation.

According to reports, the Scorpio had been parked by the roadside since Monday. When no one appeared near the vehicle for an extended period, villagers informed the police. Upon receiving the information, Sub-Inspectors (SI) Mahesh Kumar and Vimlesh Kumar, along with Probationary Sub-Inspector (PSI) Raushan Kumar and a police team, arrived at the location.

During the search, the police found the liquor bottle inside the vehicle. Additionally, a separate number plate was recovered from the Scorpio and subsequently seized by the police.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Vipin Bihari, the recovered number plate suggests the vehicle is registered in Lakhisarai. However, information has been received indicating that another Scorpio bearing the same number plate is currently parked at a garage in the Gaya district. Consequently, the police harbor doubts regarding the authenticity of the number plate and the true identity of the vehicle.

The police are now investigating the vehicle's actual ownership, the status of the number plate, and the reasons behind abandoning the Scorpio in Ganj village. They suspect the vehicle may have been used for liquor smuggling, though this can only be confirmed once the investigation concludes.

The SHO stated that inquiries are underway to determine the vehicle's owner and the circumstances under which it was left abandoned in Ganj village.
