Interrogation revealed their involvement in transactions related to cyber fraud amounting to approximately ₹20 lakh. Superintendent of Police and Cyber Police Station In-charge Sameer Kumar Singh stated that a cyber fraud incident involving approximately ₹80,000 had occurred with a cyber café operator. The victim informed the police that the fraudster was planning to visit the café again the following day. Acting on this information, the police arrested 30-year-old Chandan Kumar, a resident of Itarhi and son of Dhanraj Verma.

Subsequently, this cash was deposited into other bank accounts specified via the Telegram groups.

The accused received a commission of approximately 20 percent for facilitating these transactions.
