CHIEF SECRETARY HELD MEETING VIA VIDEO CONFERENCING

SASARAM------------------------A review meeting regarding various departments was held on Monday via video conferencing, presided over by the Chief Secretary of Bihar. From Rohtas district, District Magistrate Shri Deepak Kumar Mishra, along with officials from the concerned departments, attended the meeting from the video conferencing room.

During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted on the progress of schemes such as the 'Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana' (Free Electricity Scheme), power supply, Wagefed, the TB-free India campaign, pending SIR (Social Investigation Report) cases, ration cards, and other important initiatives. Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of the respective departments presented the current status and achievements of the schemes through agenda-wise PowerPoint presentations. While reviewing the department-wise work, the Chief Secretary issued necessary directives to further accelerate the pace of all these schemes. Following the meeting, District Magistrate Mr. Deepak Kumar Mishra instructed electricity distribution companies, bank representatives, and implementing agencies regarding the 'Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana' (Free Electricity Scheme). He directed them to ensure the speedy processing of bank loan applications, minimize unnecessary rejections, and provide approvals and subsidies to beneficiaries in a timely manner. Emphasizing the need to accelerate solar rooftop installations, he stated that this scheme is not merely a means to save on electricity bills but a significant initiative towards clean energy, environmental conservation, and a self-reliant India.

The District Magistrate also instructed the Energy Department to ensure uninterrupted power supply for farmers and to pay special attention to the safety of power supply infrastructure.

During the meeting, the Health Department provided an update on activities under the 'TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' (TB-Free India Campaign). It was reported that ASHA workers, ANMs, and health personnel are conducting door-to-door visits to identify and screen potential TB patients, thereby facilitating timely testing and treatment. Additionally, identified TB patients are being provided with nutrition kits under the 'Pradhan Mantri TB-Mukt Bharat Yojana'; these kits contain nutritious items such as soya chunks, split chickpeas (chana dal), peanuts, milk powder, wheat flour, and cooking oil.

The District Magistrate directed that the identification of eligible families be expedited as part of the special campaign for issuing ration cards and adding names .issued instructions to ensure the timely disposal of all applications and the completion of pending CMR (Custom Milled Rice) supplies within the stipulated timeframe. He also emphasized maintaining transparency in the Public Distribution System and regularly monitoring food grain distribution.

Additionally, necessary directives were issued regarding initiatives to promote the vegetable trade through Vegfed. The District Magistrate instructed officials responsible for other schemes to review the schemes daily and ensure 100% achievement of the targets set by the state government.
