ARA--------------------------Zero tolerance for illegal mining, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha's clear message: No compromise on revenue targets

• Order issued to suspend the mining inspector of Darbhanga

• Request to be made to the Home Department for the deployment of 400 police personnel for assistance

A high-level review meeting of the department's work was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Mines and Geology, Vijay Kumar Sinha. The meeting was attended by the department's secretary Devesh Sehra, director Manesh Kumar Meena, additional secretary Bharat Bhushan Prasad, assistant director, all district mineral development officers, and other departmental officials.

In the meeting, all districts were instructed to take swift action to ensure 100% achievement of the revenue collection target. While reviewing the revenue collection status, the Deputy Chief Minister gave clear instructions that Director Manesh Kumar Meena should conduct a separate review of the mineral development officers of the districts lagging behind in achieving the targets, such as Patna, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, etc. All districts were instructed to prepare an action plan within 3 days to ensure the achievement of the revenue collection target.
