PATNA---------------------------"Yoga is not merely a physical activity but a sacred pledge towards humanity, health, discipline, and nation-building. Today, through the International Yoga Protocol, we have fulfilled our obligations not only to ourselves but also to society and the nation. ...Let us all take a pledge: practice yoga daily, stay healthy, keep our families healthy, and contribute to building a strong and culturally grounded India."
— These remarks were made by Shailendra Kumar, District In-charge of Patanjali Yoga Samiti (Patna District, Bihar), following the successful conclusion of a grand and dignified yoga event held on June 21st at the local Shivaji Park, Kankarbagh, in observance of the 12th International Yoga Day (2026) and in accordance with the international protocol.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Patanjali Yoga Samiti (Patna District) to all participants, collaborators, citizens, members of the press, volunteers, and all the distinguished individuals associated with the event—both directly and indirectly—he stated that the cooperation of everyone involved was the true measure of the event's success.
On this occasion, numerous yoga practitioners—including Dr. Anil Sulabh (President, Hindi Sahitya Sammelan), Kumar Anupam, Yogacharya Shailendra Kumar, Shyam Nandan Ji, Shweta Bobby, Arya, Bibha Ji, Manoj Kumar, Shyam Babu Sharma, S.V. Pandey, Rana Pratap Singh, Sunny Kumar, Subodh Kumar Gupta, Banwal, Ruby Kumari, Dimple, Purnima Kumari, Shalini Ji, and Rishikesh—inspired the gathered crowd with their excellent yoga demonstrations. At the conclusion of the event, Yogacharya Shailendra Kumar honored several dignitaries—including Dr. Anil Sulabh (President, Hindi Sahitya Sammelan), Kumar Anupam (senior journalist and litterateur), Dr. Bindeshwar Prasad Gupta (Spokesperson, Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan), Shyam Nandan Ji, Shweta Bobby, Arya, Hemlata Verma, Anshu Pandey, Purnima Ji, Manoj Kumar, Shyam Babu Sharma, Rakesh Kumar Roshan, and S.V. Pandey—by presenting them with the traditional *Angavastram*. He also extended his gratitude to all the distinguished citizens, participating yoga practitioners, outstanding performers, and members of the media present at the event.
It goes without saying—and would be no exaggeration to state—that just as in previous years, the dedication and active efforts of Yogacharya Shailendra Kumar (District In-charge, Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Patna) ensured the success of this year's International Yoga Day. On one hand, the Samiti organized a dignified, purposeful, meaningful, inspiring, and exemplary yoga program that fostered health consciousness and awareness by highlighting the importance, objectives, and benefits of yoga. On the other hand, no effort was spared to realize the true significance, utility, excellence, and prestige of International Yoga Day, thereby attracting the younger generation to the practice of yoga.
