ARA--------------------------A news is emerging from Arrah in Bihar's Bhojpur district. A dispute that arose following the death of a woman in a road accident in Nagri village—within the Charpokhari police station area—turned violent on Monday. Armed assailants opened fire on the Sarpanch's husband and one of his friends, leaving both critically injured. The injured include Manoj Sharma—a resident of Nagri village, son of the late Baban Sharma, and husband of Sarpanch Durgavati Devi—and his friend, Gorakh Paswan (son of Lagad Paswan). Both are currently undergoing treatment at Charpokhari and the Sadar Hospital in Arrah. Upon receiving information about the incident, Piro SDPO K.K. Singh, Inspector Rajiv Ranjan, and Station House Officer (SHO) Santosh Kumar rushed to the scene with an armed police force to conduct an investigation. The police have identified the attackers and have launched raids to apprehend them. The altercation reportedly began with individuals who had arrived to retrieve a motorcycle, following which the assailants opened fire.
