TRAFFIC CHANGE FOR NEET EXAM

20-JUNE-ENG 1

RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

BUXAR----------------------To ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) scheduled for June 21 in the district, the district and police administrations have implemented comprehensive traffic arrangements. On the day of the exam, the operation of four-wheelers, e-rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, and buses will be prohibited on several major city routes from 4:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Additionally, a "no-entry" restriction will apply to heavy vehicles, tractors, and pickup trucks from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

According to directives issued by the SP's office, the entry of all types of four-wheelers is completely banned on the stretch from Askamini Mata Temple to the Pandey Patti area. During this period, drivers must use designated alternative routes via Golambar Bypass, Jyoti Chowk, ITI Road, Mathiya Mod, and Dani Kutiya. Separate one-way routes have also been established for vehicles traveling to and from Itarhi to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent any inconvenience to examinees.

The police administration has clarified that ambulances, vehicles transporting patients, and vehicles associated with essential services are exempt from these restrictions. Furthermore, passengers heading to the railway station are advised to carry their railway tickets to avoid any inconvenience during checks.

The administration has appealed to city residents to avoid using four-wheelers unnecessarily on the day of the exam and to use only the designated alternative routes. Officials state that the objective of these special arrangements is to ensure examinees reach their centers on time, maintain smooth traffic flow, and prevent traffic congestion in the city.

Appealing for public cooperation, the Buxar Police have urged everyone to adhere to traffic rules and follow the guidelines issued by the administration to ensure the successful and peaceful conduct of the examination.
