ARA------------------------A case of the gang-rape of a Class 7 student in broad daylight has come to light in Sahar, under the local police station's jurisdiction. The accused fled the scene after the incident. The victim's family has appealed to the local administration for justice.

It is reported that the victim had gone to buy coconut water around 3 PM on Sunday. After purchasing the coconut water, she was waiting for an auto-rickshaw at the Sahar bus stand when a boy from her own village, accompanied by four or five friends, threatened her, forced her into a four-wheeler, and drove towards a forest area.

There, they gang-raped her. Following the incident, the perpetrators fled. The victim managed to reach home and recounted her ordeal to her family. Subsequently, the family went to the police station and raised a hue and cry.

The family calmed down after receiving assurances from Station House Officer (SHO) Subodh Kumar, and the victim was sent to the Sahar Community Health Center for a medical examination. Meanwhile, upon learning of the incident, the Sahar SHO has initiated raids to arrest the accused.
