STUDENT ANGER ERUPTS AFTER GOVERNOR’S DEPARTURE

ARA--------------------------The atmosphere in Ara became volatile immediately after the Governor of Bihar and Chancellor, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Ata Hasnain, departed from Veer Kunwar Singh University; students and members of the student union launched a fierce protest against Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shailendra Kumar Chaturvedi.

Agitated protesters shouted slogans against the Vice-Chancellor and attempted to wave black flags at the Chancellor. However, police and administrative officials deployed for security acted promptly to prevent them from advancing.

During the protest, the furious students displayed black bands to express their strong opposition. The commotion escalated to the point where the protesting students broke down the university gate. Meanwhile, protesters also tried to wave black flags at the Chancellor's convoy.

However, the police force and security personnel stationed there forcibly stopped them from moving forward, preventing the situation from deteriorating further.

Earlier on Friday, Governor and Chancellor Ata Hasnain had arrived at Veer Kunwar Singh University to participate in a teacher-student dialogue program. While that event concluded peacefully, the atmosphere across the university campus shifted abruptly the moment he left. Extensive security arrangements had already been put in place on the campus for the Governor's visit.

Despite this, the students' protest continued, and a state of heavy commotion prevailed on the campus for some time. The police administration is currently keeping a close watch on the entire matter and the situation.
