ARA-----------------------------A serious incident that shames relationships has unfolded in the Nawada police station area. On Friday evening, in the Ambedkar Colony located in the city's New Police Line, a wicked son stabbed his elderly mother, seriously injuring her following a minor dispute.

According to reports, the injured woman is Kunti Devi, 65, wife of Kamta Ram, a resident of the New Police Line Ambedkar Colony in the Nawada police station area. Immediately after the incident, with the help of family members, she was brought to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment. The victim, Kunti Devi, has made serious allegations of harassment and assault against her son, Jitendra alias Chunnu Ram.

She stated that her son is often in an inebriated state and beats her daily. Describing the incident in detail, the victim said that he had been abusing her under the influence since Thursday night. On Friday evening, when she went to the hand pump near her house to fetch water for kneading dough, he again began behaving indecently.

According to Kunti Devi, when she objected to the unprovoked abuse, the argument escalated. The accused son then entered their room with his wife and began assaulting them. During the attack, he stabbed his mother in the wrist, seriously injuring her.

The victim has explicitly accused her son, Jitendra, of unprovoked violence and intentionally causing injury. Currently, the Nawada police station has taken cognizance of the incident and has begun investigating the matter.
