ARA------------------------MLA, Shahpur in Bhojpur district Rahul Tiwari clarified that he has no problem with the visit of local MP Sudama Prasad to Jawainiya village and stressed that the work of saving Jawainiya village from erosion by the river Ganga has been done by the Bihar government, not by any Central agency.
Rahul Tiwari said in reference to Jawainiya village, “MP can visit the village, he has no problem with his visit and with his words. He tried to establish that this work of saving Jawainiya village from erosion has been done with the funds and efforts of the State government in which he has a direct role as a local MLA not the local MP or the Central Government.
He said that the MPs of our party’s alliance had gone to Jawainiya village where erosion was taking place, inspect the work and we were watching on some channel that the MP said that he raised his voice in the parliament and discussed it so we thought that this work should be presented the fact before the people. He stated that the work in on last state and everyone is coming to take accolades.
He further said that first of all we have this problem during Govardhan Puja when we went to Damodarpur, people told him that there is a serious problem of erosion because the nearby village of Uttar Pradesh Nauranga was eroding there, the UP government has protected it by building a dam. Due to which the area will now affect Damodarpur Jawainiya. Since then we are engaged in this work. He added that every three years, a devastating flood comes in Shahpur, so every time we were seeing that the distance of Jawainiya from the river Ganga is decreasing during the flood. So he met the Chief Minister and apprised him of the problem and whenever the house was in session, one of my questions was on the erosion because the problem was very serious and in this view a letter was sent to the Principal Secretary. He met the Minister of the Department SanjayJha and the file was sent to the Bhojpur DM and the after completing all paraphernalia, the work started on the project.
