BUXAR-----------------------------The Department of Posts is continuously taking steps to provide better, faster, and more accessible services to the general public under its motto, "Postal Service, Public Service." As part of this initiative, an additional Aadhaar Seva Kendra (Aadhaar Service Center) has been launched at the Buxar Head Post Office to expand citizen-centric facilities. Simultaneously, the operational hours for Speed ​​Post, Registered Post, parcel services, and other postal booking services have been extended to run from 8 AM to 8 PM daily.

Kumari Sarita, Postal Superintendent of the Buxar Division, stated that a large number of people were already availing themselves of Aadhaar enrollment and update services at the existing center in the Head Post Office. In response to the growing demand, an additional center has been opened to ensure people receive better service in less time. The new center will offer all Aadhaar-related services, including new enrollments and updates for names, addresses, dates of birth, mobile numbers, email IDs, and biometrics.

She mentioned that Aadhaar Seva Kendras would also be established in other post offices across the Buxar Division in the future, enabling people to access these facilities at their nearest post office.

The Postal Superintendent added that, keeping in mind the convenience of the general public, traders, students, and e-commerce customers, the service hours for Speed ​​Post, Registered Post, parcel services, and other postal bookings at the Buxar Head Post Office have been extended to 8 AM–8 PM daily. Citizens will now be able to avail themselves of these services for a continuous 12-hour period. This extension of hours will particularly benefit working professionals, businesspeople, and customers arriving from remote areas. Providing details about the Department of Posts' 'India Post Franchise Scheme 2.0', she stated that this scheme offers an excellent self-employment opportunity for unemployed youth and entrepreneurs. Under this scheme, interested individuals can start their own businesses by engaging in booking and delivery services for Speed ​​Post, parcels, and international mail. In accordance with the department's established framework, franchise holders have the opportunity to earn attractive commissions ranging from 7% to 30%. She urged educated youth, self-help groups, and small entrepreneurs to avail themselves of this scheme and contribute to the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India) campaign.

Ms. Sarita remarked that the Department of Posts is no longer limited to mere mail delivery; it is extending services to every segment of society through Aadhaar, banking, insurance, parcel, and digital services. She emphasized that citizen convenience and satisfaction are the department's top priorities and that the department is fully committed to delivering quality services to every citizen of the Buxar division. She also appealed to the public to make the most of the various services available at post offices.
