ROAD IN DILAPIDATED CONDITION

BUXAR----------------------------The dilapidated condition of NH-120, which passes through Dumraon town, has become a major source of trouble for the public. Even light rain leads to waterlogging and potholes, making movement hazardous for motorcyclists and pedestrians alike. The road's poor state creates a constant risk of accidents and causes significant hardship for the local population.

Locals state that the poor condition of NH-120 was a key election issue during the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Despite political changes in the region following the polls, the problem with the road remains unresolved. Residents allege that, despite repeated complaints, no concrete steps toward repairing or reconstructing the road are visible on the ground.

The bad road frequently causes traffic congestion in the town. Long traffic jams occur, especially when large vehicles pass through, causing financial losses to local business owners. Travelers heading to the railway station also face immense difficulties; many miss their trains after getting stuck in these jams.

Meanwhile, the local JD(U) MLA, Rahul Singh, has consistently claimed that a state-of-the-art, high-quality road will be constructed in Dumraon. However, locals say that these claims have yet to translate into reality, and the road remains in a deplorable state.

Town residents have demanded that the administration and the concerned department urgently repair and reconstruct NH-120 to ensure safe commuting and provide relief from traffic congestion.
