ARA---------------------------An incident involving verbal abuse, physical assault, and a death threat against a revenue official and the official-in-charge of the Circle Inspector's office at the Ara Sadar Circle Office has come to light. The victim has lodged a formal complaint at the local Nawada Police Station, resulting in an FIR being registered against three named individuals and five other suspects.

In the complaint, Vishnu Dev Singh—son of the late Om Prakash Singh and a resident of Bauhara village—stated that he currently serves as a revenue official and the official-in-charge of the Circle Inspector's office at Ara Sadar. He mentioned that he had been engaged in anti-encroachment operations in the Maulabag area from approximately 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

After completing the encroachment-related work, he returned to the office. At around 6:30 PM, he received a call on his personal mobile number from Arpit Kumar—one of the suspects—who demanded to know if the work for him and his friends would be done; Singh assured him that everyone's work would be attended to. Shortly thereafter, around 7:00 PM, the group stormed into the office with their faces covered by scarves (*gamchas*).

They were all armed, carrying weapons tucked at their waists. Singh was getting some work done on the online portal with Amit (the operator) when the individuals approached him and began hurling verbal abuse. They attempted to drag him outside with the intent to kill him. Senior Clerk Sachin Kumar Singh and Amit (the operator) managed to intervene and save his life.

The individuals were described as "mafia" elements attempting to force their demands through the use of weapons. Singh noted that his staff saved his life that day. His family resides on Block Road. He has demanded legal action and the registration of an FIR against Arpit Singh, Subodh Kumar, Mohammad Azhar, and the five other suspects.
