POLICE ARRESTED 5 MISCREANTS WITH FIREARMS AND TWO WITH 11 KG OF GANJA

BHABHUA-------------------------The district police have achieved two major successes. Specifically, the police arrested five criminals—armed with weapons—just before they could execute a major crime within the jurisdiction of the Chand police station. Three country-made pistols (*kattas*) and one live cartridge were recovered from their possession. Three of the arrested criminals have prior criminal records. Currently, the police are engaged in interrogating them.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, the police in the Kudra police station area arrested two smugglers early this morning during a routine vehicle inspection. The smugglers were apprehended after 11.7 kg of Ganja (cannabis) was recovered from a suitcase found inside their vehicle. The arrested smugglers were planning to transport the Ganja from Kudra to Chenari in Rohtas district, via the Sakri route.

Kaimur SP Hari Mohan Shukla stated that the police had received a confidential tip-off indicating that five criminals had gathered, armed with weapons, to carry out a criminal act. After verifying the information, the Chand police reached the location and arrested all five individuals, recovering three country-made pistols and one live cartridge from them. He added that the police are currently interrogating the suspects to determine exactly when and which specific crime they were planning to commit.

Furthermore, SP Hari Mohan Shukla reported that during a vehicle inspection drive in Kudra today at 4:00 AM, a suitcase was recovered from a vehicle, yielding 11.7 kg of Ganja. The police have arrested two individuals in connection with this case.

He explained that the Ganja smugglers intended to transport the contraband from Kudra to Chenari in Rohtas via the Sakri route. The police are currently interrogating both individuals to trace the origin of the Ganja, identify its intended destination for supply, and uncover the full network of individuals involved in this smuggling operation. The Kaimur SP confirmed that, following these actions, all the arrested individuals are being sent to judicial custody.
