PATNA-------------------------A shameful incident involving a gang rape has come to light in Patna, Bihar. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Punpun Police Station. The accused drugged the victim by mixing sedatives into a cold drink before subjecting her to a gang rape. Acting on the information provided by the victim, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and have initiated an investigation into the matter.

Station House Officer (SHO) Baby Kumari stated that at 11:00 PM last night, information was received from Alawalpur village regarding the rape of a woman. Upon reaching the crime scene to verify the report and take necessary action, the police questioned the victim. The victim revealed that she works as a cook near Beur Jail.

On Monday, Ramesh Chaudhary—a resident of Chihut—sent his auto-rickshaw to summon the victim to Punpun under the pretext of offering her a job as a housemaid. Later that night, between approximately 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM, near Punpun Ghat, Chaudhary—along with his accomplices Kundan (alias Kunal) and Sagar (alias Sardar)—mixed sedatives into a cold drink and administered it to the victim. Once she was in a drugged and semi-conscious state, the three men took turns raping her inside the auto-rickshaw itself.

Following the incident, all the accused fled the scene, abandoning the victim. The victim subsequently called the emergency helpline number, 112. Recognizing the gravity of the incident, the police station registered an FIR. An FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team was notified and subsequently inspected the crime scene. The victim is currently being sent for a medical examination.

Ramesh Chaudhary (son of Bangali Chaudhary, resident of Chihut village, under Parsa Bazar Police Station); Kunal (alias Kundan Kumar, son of Shyam Babu Yadav, resident of Alawalpur village); and the third accused, Sardar (alias Sagar, aged approximately 32, son of Bhagwan Vishwakarma, resident of Sangat Par village, under Masaurhi Police Station). Raids are currently being conducted to apprehend the auto-rickshaw driver involved in the incident. "An incident of rape involving a woman has occurred.
