SASARAM-----------------------------A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Gopal Narayan Singh University and ASGI Hospital regarding clinical training and placement for optometry students. This MoU will provide practical training, industry experience, and new employment opportunities for students of the Optometry Department of the university's Narayan Institute of Allied and Healthcare Sciences. A placement drive was also organized for the students of the Optometry Department of the Narayan Institute of Allied and Healthcare Sciences on this occasion.

Present at the signing were Gopal Narayan Singh University's Pro-Chancellor Govind Narayan Singh, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Jagdish Singh, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Kumar Alok Pratap, Director of Narayan Institute of Allied and Healthcare Sciences Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Kumar, Head of the Optometry Department Vivek Kumar Sinha, along with Roshan Sinha (Regional Manager – Human Resources and Operations) and Vishwavendra Singh (Optometry Manager, ASG Bihar Vision Center) from ASGI Hospital.

Honorable Pro-Chancellor Govind Narayan Singh said that this agreement is a significant step towards providing quality clinical training to students, enabling them to become globally competitive. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Jagdish Singh reiterated the university's commitment to strengthening industry-academia partnerships and said that such MoUs prove helpful in shaping students' careers.

Representatives from ASGI Hospital also expressed their happiness with this collaboration with the university and assured the students of providing training and placement opportunities with state-of-the-art ophthalmic facilities.

Under this agreement, optometry students will receive internships, hands-on training, and placement opportunities at ASGI Hospital's state-of-the-art eye care centers. This collaboration is considered a significant step towards creating skilled human resources in the healthcare sector. This MoU will give a new direction to academic-industry collaboration in the fields of education and healthcare and pave the way for a bright future for optometry students.
