MYSTERY OF FOUR DECAPITATED BODIES SOLVED

BHABHUA----------------------------In a major breakthrough regarding the case of four decapitated bodies discovered within the jurisdiction of the Ramgarh police station in the district, the police have arrested one accused individual. The crime was perpetrated by the deceased, Krishna Murari's, two biological brothers acting in collusion with a friend. While unraveling the details of the incident, the police recovered the knife used in the murder, a country-made pistol (*katta*), three live cartridges, a scooter, and a combat knife (*fighter*). It is noteworthy that this success was achieved by a Special Investigation Team (SIT)—comprising FSL and Dog Squad units—formed under the leadership of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Mohania to investigate this high-profile murder case.

According to reports, on May 5th, the deceased, Krishna Murari, had physically assaulted his mother following a domestic dispute. She subsequently informed her son, Vikas Gupta—who was residing in Maharashtra—about the incident. Upon hearing the news of his mother's assault, Vikas Gupta returned home, accompanied by his friend, Deepak Kumar Rajput. On May 7th, Vikas Gupta and his friend were sitting in a room when Krishna Murari entered the premises. A discussion regarding the stock market ensued between the three; during this exchange, Vikas Gupta, acting in concert with his friend Deepak Kumar Rajput, attacked Krishna Murari with a knife.

Meanwhile, Krishna Murari's wife, who rushed in to save her husband, was also killed by Deepak and his friend. At that very moment, the couple's two children also arrived on the scene. Rage had so completely consumed Deepak Gupta that he proceeded to kill both children as well. In the aftermath of this massacre, Deepak's youngest brother—Rahul (alias Gautam), who is speech-impaired—dismembered all the bodies using a *tangi* (axe). The deceased's mother and the wives of his two younger brothers, who were present in the house at the time, witnessed the entire horrific incident unfold. Subsequently, all four severed heads and the dismembered body parts were stuffed into suitcases and sacks, transported via scooter, and disposed of at two separate locations: the first batch was thrown into the Durgavati River near the Ramgarh-Mohania border, while the second batch was dumped near a canal near Akhori. Meanwhile, in an attempt to conceal the evidence, cement was sprinkled inside the house; bloodstains were washed away into the drain, and some items were burned.

While disclosing the details of the incident, Kaimur SP Hari Mohan Shukla stated that on May 10, 18 severed body parts were recovered from a suitcase found in the Durgavati River near the Ramgarh-Mohania border. Based on their appearance, it seemed that the remains belonged to three to four individuals. Subsequently, the police initiated an investigation into missing persons reports filed within Ramgarh, the district at large, and neighboring districts. Then, on May 12, additional body parts were recovered, this time found inside a sack.

He further explained that the bodies were identified through a child's clothing found among the remains and the shirt worn by one of the deceased. This led investigators to discover that the family of a man named Krishna Murari—a resident of Darhak village under the Ramgarh police station's jurisdiction—was missing, and their house was found locked. Utilizing forensic investigative techniques, the police analyzed CCTV footage from cameras installed near the deceased's home and tracked mobile phone location data. These records revealed images showing the deceased's younger brother moving in and out of the premises in the days leading up to the incident. He was subsequently summoned from Maharashtra, whereupon Vikas Gupta confessed to the entire crime, admitting that he had executed the act in collusion with a friend and his own younger brother. It was revealed that Deepak had been harboring resentment toward the deceased elder brother, Krishna Murari; it was his behavior that drove Deepak to commit such a heinous crime.

It is worth noting that the deceased belonged to a family of four brothers: the eldest, Krishna Murari Gupta; Subhash Gupta; Vikas Gupta; and Rahul (alias Gautam), who is speech-impaired. The second-eldest brother, Subhash Gupta, resides in Hyderabad and works for a private company; he returned home following the incident and performed the last rites for his elder brother, sister-in-law, nephew, and niece.
