ARA----------------------The body of a youth who had left his home in Chhotki Singhi village—located within the city's Town Police Station jurisdiction—was recovered on the third day. His body was found on Wednesday morning along the embankment of Singh Colony, within the same police station area. The deceased's body was found to be mutilated, decomposed, and infested with maggots. However, the exact cause of the youth's death remains unclear. The discovery of the body created a sensation throughout the village and the surrounding areas. Upon receiving the information, the local police immediately arrived at the scene and commenced an investigation into the matter. According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Vicky Kumar, an 18-year-old son of Jawahir Paswan, a resident of Chhotki Singhi village under the Town Police Station jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, the deceased's brother, Pawan Kumar, stated that his brother had left home on Sunday evening without saying a word. He did not return home that night. His family members searched for him in various parts of the city, but they were unable to find any trace of him. Subsequently, on Tuesday, the family members visited the local police station to file a missing person's complaint. Amidst these efforts, on Wednesday morning, local residents noticed a foul odor emanating from the area; upon investigating, they discovered a body lying along the embankment in Singh Colony. They immediately informed the deceased's family and the local police station about the discovery.

Upon receiving the information, the family members and the local police arrived at the scene. The police transported the body to the Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. However, due to the severely mutilated condition of the body, the on-duty physician at the Sadar Hospital referred the case to Patna for the post-mortem procedure.

On the other hand, the deceased's brother, Pawan Kumar, has categorically denied the existence of any dispute or enmity between his brother and anyone else in the village. According to the death inquest report prepared by the police, the exact cause of the youth's death remains undetermined. The cause of death is expected to become clear only after the post-mortem report is received.

It is reported that the deceased was the fifth child among his five brothers and two sisters. His surviving family members include his mother, Panmata Devi; four brothers—Pappu Kumar, Appu Kumar, Pawan Kumar, and Santosh Kumar; and two sisters—Baby Kumari and Reena Kumari. Following the incident, chaos has engulfed the deceased's home. His mother, Panmata Devi, and all other family members are inconsolable with grief.
