ARA---------------------------Syed Shahnawaz Hussain held a media interaction to mark the completion of 12 years of the Modi government at the Centre.
A media interaction was organized by the Bhojpur unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Ara Circuit House auditorium to commemorate the completion of 12 years of the Modi government at the Centre; the event was presided over by District President Durga Raj.
Former Union Minister and National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain participated as the keynote speaker at the event.
Speaking during the interaction, Shahnawaz Hussain noted that the NDA government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been in power at the Centre for 12 years. Today, Modi holds the record for the longest tenure as Prime Minister. Over these twelve years, the country has risen in stature on the global stage. Driven by the principles of *Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas* (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, and Effort of all), the nation is becoming self-reliant and rapidly moving towards a 'Vikasit Bharat' (Developed India).
Highlighting the achievements of the central government, he stated that India is on the path to becoming the world's fourth-largest economy. India's foreign policy has become more effective and decisive; Indian citizens were safely evacuated during crises such as the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts. Today, India's voice is heard seriously on global platforms.
Discussing economic growth, he mentioned that India is among the fastest-growing major economies in the world. The country has emerged as a global leader in digital payments, and there has been a record increase in foreign investment. Lakhs of youths have gained opportunities under the 'Startup India' initiative.
He emphasized that this 12-year period has been dedicated to the welfare of the poor. Initiatives included providing free rations to 80 crore people, opening bank accounts for crores of the poor under the Jan Dhan Yojana, providing gas connections to poor women under the Ujjwala Yojana, offering health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat, and providing permanent houses to crores of the poor under the PM Awas Yojana, among many other welfare schemes. The Modi government has done significant work for women's empowerment. Initiatives such as the passing of the *Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam* (Women's Reservation Act), the expansion of maternity benefit schemes, financial assistance to self-help groups, and the ban on regressive practices like 'Triple Talaq' have all contributed to empowering women.
The Modi government has brought smiles to farmers' faces through measures such as the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (providing ₹6,000 annually), the introduction of neem-coated urea, investments in agricultural infrastructure, record food grain production, and the expansion of the Kisan Credit Card scheme.
For the youth, numerous initiatives—including Startup India, Stand-Up India, job creation through Digital India, the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Skill Development Mission, and the expansion of the Khelo India program and sports infrastructure—are playing a vital role in building a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India).
Speaking to the media, National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain detailed the Modi government's achievements regarding Bihar. He stated that the 'double-engine' government, under the leadership of Samrat Chaudhary, is driving rapid development in the state, noting that Prime Minister Modi places special emphasis on Bihar's progress. Bihar has benefited immensely from various initiatives, including the unprecedented expansion of national highways, approval of numerous rail projects, the Patna Metro project, the expansion of AIIMS Patna, efforts to secure international recognition for *Makhana* (fox nuts), the establishment of new medical colleges, the introduction of Vande Bharat trains, record growth in expressway and highway networks, schemes like *Bharatmala* and *Sagarmala*, the elimination of Naxalism and terrorism, direct benefit transfers to the poor, Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes, and marginalized sections, as well as measures to curb corruption.
He remarked that these 12 years represent a period of service, good governance, and the laying of a strong foundation for a developed India. The Modi government's 12-year tenure is not merely a record of governmental achievements but a robust cornerstone for building a 'Viksit Bharat'. District Media In-charge Sanjay Kumar Singh, Agiaon MLA Mahesh Paswan, MLC Jeevan Kumar, State Secretary Sushma Sahu, Mithilesh Kushwaha, Rajendra Tiwari, Dharmendra Singh, Harendra Pandey, CD Sharma, Jyoti Prakash Kushwaha, Nishant Sengar, Vibhu Jain, and others were present at the media interaction.
