ARA--------------------------A free Aadhaar-based life certification service has been launched for beneficiaries under the social security pension scheme through Common Service Centers (CSCs). The service was inaugurated by Departmental Secretary Vandana Preyashi at a program held at the Common Service Center, Hulashchak (near Babanpura Mor), AIIMS Janipur Road, Phulwari Sharif, Patna.
Life certification certificates were also distributed to the beneficiaries during the program. The Social Welfare Department operates a total of six social security pension schemes for the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities. Under these schemes, the pension amount has been increased to Rs. 1100 per month from June 2025.
Secretary Vandana Preyashi said that the process of free Aadhaar-based life certification through Common Service Centers has been launched today to make the social security pension system more transparent, accurate, and reliable. This initiative is extremely important so that the pension benefits reach the genuine and eligible beneficiaries on time.
