ARA-----------------------------Speeding and negligence have once again snatched away the happiness of a family. The incident took place in Bhojpur district, where the series of road accidents shows no sign of stopping. A 26-year-old youth died in a tragic road accident in Behra, under the Udvantnagar police station area of the district. The deceased has been identified as Deepak, the 26-year-old son of the late Lalan Singh, a resident of Daulatpur village under the Koilwar police station area.

Deepak was an e-rickshaw driver by profession and was returning home in the evening after finishing his work, as usual. At that time, near Behra village, an unknown truck, while overtaking, hit his e-rickshaw with great force. The collision was so severe that Deepak died on the spot, while the truck driver fled with his vehicle.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local villagers reached the spot. The angry villagers blocked the road, citing the dilapidated condition of the road as the cause of the accident. The villagers alleged that there are large potholes on the overbridge, due to which accidents are happening frequently, but the administration is not taking any concrete steps in this regard.

Due to the road blockade, traffic remained completely disrupted for several hours. Later, the Udvantnagar police arrived at the spot and pacified the people, after which the blockade was lifted. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination, and a search has been launched for the unknown truck.
