For the past several days, erratic power supply and frequent tripping in the block area have increased the problems of common people as well as farmers. The power cuts amidst the biting cold have disrupted life in rural areas. The lack of electricity at night renders heaters, bulbs, and other essential appliances useless, causing considerable difficulty for the elderly, children, and women. Farmers say that the intermittent power supply is affecting irrigation work. The inability to water the fields on time has increased the likelihood of adverse effects on the Rabi crops.

In many villages, people are expressing anger due to frequent power cuts during the day and for hours at night. Villagers have demanded that the electricity department find a permanent solution quickly and restore regular power supply. In this regard, Avnish Kumar, the Junior Engineer of the electricity department, said that the department is not receiving sufficient power to meet the demand. Due to increasing industrialization in urban areas, more electricity is being supplied there. He said that a request has been made to senior officials for additional power supply so that rural areas can also get relief.
