PATNA------------------------During the hearing, Lalu Prasad Yadav categorically denied the charges. He stated that he will face the trial and has full faith in the judiciary.

RJD chief Lalu Yadav and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi have received significant relief from Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. The court has exempted both from physical appearance in the Land for Jobs case. The court has clarified that unless a special order for physical appearance is issued, they will be able to appear via video conferencing only.

During the hearing on Monday, Lalu Prasad Yadav categorically denied the charges. He stated that he will face the trial and has full faith in the judiciary. Meanwhile, his daughter and MP Misa Bharti told the media that the court granted this relief considering Lalu Yadav's advanced age and poor health. She said that the court has allowed him to appear via video conferencing on humanitarian grounds.

The case, filed by the CBI, alleges that while serving as Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav transferred land to the names of certain individuals' families in exchange for securing them jobs in the Railways. The investigating agency claims that these transactions were conducted at prices below market value. The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a charge sheet based on this allegation, and the case is currently pending in court.

The "Land for Jobs" case relates to the period when Lalu Prasad Yadav was Railway Minister at the Centre between 2004 and 2009. The allegation is that land was acquired in exchange for Group D jobs in the Railways. However, Lalu Yadav and his family have dismissed these allegations as a political conspiracy. The further hearing in this case will now take place at a scheduled date.
