ARA---------------------------A celebratory event was organized at the residence of Sonamati Devi—the *Mukhiya* (village head) of Uttarwari Jangalmahal Panchayat—in Morcha village, Jagdishpur block, to mark the victory of Grand Alliance-backed candidate Sonu Rai in the Bhojpur-Arrah-Buxar MLC election. During the event, leaders and workers of the Grand Alliance rejoiced over the victory, attributing it to the hard work and unity of the party cadres.
A large number of Grand Alliance leaders and workers attended the program, including District Council Chairperson Asha Devi, former Arrah Mayor Sunil Kumar Yadav, District Council members Mohammad Muslim and Mohammad Imamuddin, as well as *Mukhiyas* Pintu Prasad and Mukesh Pal, and Deputy *Mukhiya* Mohammad Akbar. RJD leader Ajay Yadav welcomed all the attendees.
Speaking on the occasion, District Council Chairperson Asha Devi remarked that while the election was challenging, the Grand Alliance invariably emerges victorious whenever elections are conducted using ballot papers. She also raised questions regarding the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Meanwhile, former Mayor Sunil Kumar Yadav stated that Sonu Rai's victory today is a direct result of the unity demonstrated by all the leaders and workers. RJD leader Ajay Yadav noted that representatives of the three-tier Panchayat system had dedicated their utmost efforts to ensure Sonu Rai's victory. He added that Grand Alliance workers went from village to village, working tirelessly during the election campaign—efforts that ultimately culminated in this triumph. Furthermore, speakers at the event expressed their displeasure regarding a statement made by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary concerning the use of green-colored *Gamchas* (traditional towels). The leaders asserted that a Chief Minister represents the entire state of Bihar; therefore, he should refrain from making statements that could hurt the sentiments of any specific political party or social group. The program concluded with a community feast, where those present savored various delicious dishes and exchanged congratulations on the victory.
