This theft occurred on Friday night. On Saturday morning, when villagers arrived at the temple to perform puja and saw the broken lock on the main gate, they realized the theft. Upon entering, the sanctum sanctorum's lock was broken, and jewelry and utensils worth a total of 215,000 rupees were missing, including the gold eyes of the idols of Goddess Kali and Lord Hanuman, estimated to be worth 100,000 rupees, Kali's silver crowns worth 50,000 rupees each, three large brass bells, and brass utensils worth approximately 15,000 rupees.

By morning, news of this incident spread like wildfire throughout the village, and within no time, a crowd of hundreds of villagers gathered in the temple premises.

This theft has infuriated the villagers. Villagers say that every family in the village has faith in both temples, and that a large number of villagers visit the temples every morning and evening. hey come to worship.

In this regard, villager Rishikesh Ojha has submitted a written application to the Murar police, stating that on Friday evening, between 6 and 7 pm, after the evening aarti was completed, all the devotees closed the temple and went home. However, on Saturday morning, around 6 am, when the devotees arrived to worship, they found the locks of the main gates of both temples broken.

Following the villagers' application, the Murar police have begun investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked anger among the villagers. The villagers demanded a speedy investigation into this theft and increased security at the village temples.
