ARA-----------------------------The stream of politicians visiting the home of Bharat Tiwari, who was killed in a police encounter, continues. On Sunday, Ashok Chaudhary, the Minister for Food and Consumer Protection in the Bihar government, visited Bilauti village and met the deceased's parents. He assured them that justice would be ensured based on an impartial investigation into the matter. He also appealed to everyone to refrain from using derogatory language against the Chief Minister.

Speaking to the media, the Minister dismissed the ongoing speculation regarding the DSP, stating that false propaganda was being spread about the officer receiving a promotion. He clarified that this was not the case; the officer was transferred because local residents were dissatisfied with his functioning. He noted that the government had immediately removed the officer against whom allegations had been leveled.

Responding to a question about the role of the SDM, Ashok Chaudhary mentioned that Bharat Tiwari's mother had informed him about the issue regarding approximately ₹1,400 crore allocated for displaced persons, noting that Tiwari had been fighting for their rights. He also mentioned that former DGP Abhyanand had raised the point that the SDM's presence at the scene on the day of the incident should also be investigated.

Addressing the question of justice for the family, he asked why a judicial inquiry would have been ordered if there was no intention to deliver justice. He pointed out that while the investigation could have been conducted by an officer of IG or DG rank, the government chose the path of a judicial inquiry. Regarding the arrest of police personnel, he stated that this is a judicial system, not a monarchy, and action would be taken strictly in accordance with the law.

Ashok Chaudhary said, "I assure everyone that the family will get justice. I believe the police overreacted in this matter—something that was unnecessary. Now, we will look into how justice can be secured for the aggrieved family." Meanwhile, while speaking with Bharat Tiwari’s father, Kashinath Tiwari, Ashok Chaudhary expressed his understanding of their grief but also urged him to put a stop to the abusive and derogatory language used by his associates against Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

"I will come again. I came now so that there would be no lingering hurt—no feeling that no one from the state government had visited. Some people use abusive language against Samrat too; please don't let that happen. Bihar has stabilized with great difficulty." — Ashok Chaudhary, JD(U) leader and Minister, Government of Bihar.
