BUXAR---------------------------The administration has become fully active in the district for the proposed Pragati Yatra. District Magistrate Sahila inspected various locations in the Buxar city area on Wednesday to review preparations. During the inspection, she issued several important instructions to officials regarding the condition of roads, cleanliness, encroachments, and government premises, and directed them to complete all work within the stipulated timeframe.

The administration has become fully active in the district for the proposed Pragati Yatra. District Magistrate Sahila inspected various locations in the Buxar city area on Wednesday to review preparations. During the inspection, she issued several important instructions to officials regarding roads, cleanliness, encroachments, and government premises, and directed them to complete all work within the stipulated timeframe. During the inspection, the District Magistrate specifically observed the route leading to the Central Jail. He gave clear instructions to the Executive Engineer of the Road Construction Department to complete the widening of this road as soon as possible so that there is no obstruction to traffic.

He also directed that the potholes along the road be immediately filled and leveled, ensuring smooth and safe traffic movement. The District Magistrate stated that the city's roads should be in good condition before important events like the Pragati Yatra. To this end, he directed necessary repairs and improvements to the Fort Ground and Airport Road.

He instructed officials to remove the clutter along the roadside and restore order, so that the entire area projects a clean image. The Municipal Council was also assigned several responsibilities during this period.

The District Magistrate directed the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, Buxar, to launch a special cleanliness drive in the ITI Ground and its surrounding areas. He also directed them to ensure adequate cleanliness around the Airport Road and Fort Ground. The DM clarified that drains should be cleaned regularly and, where necessary, slabs should be installed over them to reduce dirt and the possibility of accidents. He also expressed displeasure over the condition of the walls of the Fort Ground and the ITI Ground. The DM directed that the walls of these grounds be painted and repainted soon to improve the appearance of the complex. He also directed that the damaged main gate of the Fort Ground be replaced immediately. During the inspection, the DM also made it clear to administrative officials that illegal encroachments in the city would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He directed the Sub-Divisional Officer, Buxar, to identify areas where encroachments exist along roads and streets, issue notices to the concerned individuals, and take action to remove them as soon as possible. He also urged that the roadside land be cleared and organized to ensure smooth traffic flow. In addition, the District Magistrate also directed the Municipal Council to coordinate with various government agencies to carry out necessary repairs, painting, and beautification work. He stated that keeping the city's major public spaces clean and organized is a priority for the administration. During the inspection, the District Magistrate inquired about the progress of the work from officials of the concerned departments and clearly stated that any negligence in the tasks for which he has been instructed will not be tolerated. All departments should work in coordination with each other and complete the preparations within the stipulated time, so that the city's arrangements can be better showcased during the Pragati Yatra.
